Joanne formed Your Write Mind in 2012 with a mission to create safe spaces for all writers, regardless of experience, to discover and strengthen their unique creative voice. Trained as a life legacy facilitator in 2013, Joanne was honored that year with the Maine Jewish Community Alliance’s Abramson award, which she used to develop a legacy writing program called Harvesting Our Wisdom, helping people create intentional legacy by exploring their heritage, recalling important people and situations and examining their values.
Trained as a clinical social worker and psychologist, Joanne has a background in mental health and family of origin work. She is also a published, award-winning writer and offers legacy writing groups and coaching, creative writing workshops and editing services.
